Ja, anders hadden ze dat kanaal nog 20 meter dieper moeten graven, wat best lastig is.. bergen, rots enzo. Dan is ietsje hoger varen en gebruik maken van dat dikke meer toch handiger.

Vroeger... was er des nachts op eoa Duitsche zender (ik dacht ZDF) regelmatig een uitzending met puur beelden van webcams op bijzondere plaatsen: Suez en Panama kanalen, grote zeehavens, vliegvelden etc...
Na een vermoeiend nachtje alcohol of MDMA was dat altijd wel lekker relaxen op de bank... uurtje lang versnelde beelden kijken over bootjes en kanalen!
