Okee, Een container is 20 voet, er zijn er veel van 40 voet, maar een container wordt geteld als een TEU, ( Twenty feet Equalivant Unit) Als het globaal 550 containers zijn kun je zeggen voor het gemak 1000 TEU.

Dat is in Nederlandse begrippen 5 volle 110x11,45m containerschepen.

en daar hebben we er in Nederland zo\'n 1500 van, en ook nog een 200 tal grotere schepen van 135x17,50 m, die dan weer zo\'n 500 TEU kunnen vervoeren.
